ADOPT HOLLY BIGGLESWORTH!

My last night with Holly! I've been lucky enough to have her teeny tiny sister Faith here too since Wed., as both were spayed yesterday. You would never know that they had surgery! Both are so frisky and full of life... they really love eachother and are having a ball. I found some super stylish shades to protect Holly's eyes from the sun- as an albino, bright light can be especially damaging to her delicate eyes- and I just love the way she looks in them. Se goes to her new home tomorrow! I have loved every minute she has been here.

Here's a few pics of Holly with her friends....one of her biggest strengths is how well she gets along with other dogs- she is so frisky and playful, without even a bit of aggression. She loves to chase the squirrels with my young girl Pixie and tumble around the living room....She really is a joy to be around! And makes us smile all day.

What an exciting day for Holly! She was the star of our photos with Santa event, and met her new family! They are experienced dog owners, with three other BT's- and experienced rescuers. They are committed to giving Holly the safe and loving home that she deserves. Holly and her new siblings got along perfectly and I really feel good about this. Holly will be with me until after her spay on 12/13,and if all goes well she'll be in her new home next weekend. I'm happy- but know I will miss her terribly! Her new mama offered to take her sooner, but I want to make sure that she sees a vet to rule out ANY health issues before I let her go.....then Holly's sister Faith stopped by for a visit, and the two were so sweet and loving towards each other. The cuteness was almost too hard to handle! This pic shows Holly with her new family, and all will be spoiled royally and loved forever. Lucky, lucky Holly!

Have you ever seen a dog so cute! We have fallen in love here. Holly has settled in beautifully, and slept through the night in her crate. She is eating just fine but has a funny habit- she likes to eat while sitting on her bed! Like a little princess...and the only noise I heard her make is a happy little bark as she was helping my young girl Pixie chase a squirrel from the yard. Today after work I'm going to tackle what seems to be Holly's biggest nemesis, the stairs. I have had many fosters who were fearful of climbing stairs and I'm confident that within a few days Holly will be running up and down with the others. Stay tuned !

Meet Holly Bigglesworth! This sweet, sweet girl is a RARE fawn Boston Terrier who was surrendered to the Warwick Animal Shelter yesterday- you see, her mama was a hoarder, and the Warwick animal control officer insisted that she get rid of some of her animals. The shelter manager asked the Friends of Homeless Animals to help these girls and of course we said yes!
Holly is now with me in foster care, and will stay until we find her the perfect home. Here's what I know- she is 6 months old, a purebred BT, and 14 lbs. She seems to have a mellow, gentle temperament and loves to cuddle. She has been just fine with my dogs, and has lived peacefully with cats- MULTIPLE cats from what I'm told!- and she is bit of a beggar. She needs some help with leash training, and is fearful of stairs as many of my fosters are. And, although she has not yet had an accident in my house, I would not expect her to be perfectly house trained.
She was surrendered with her sister Faith Kensington- shown in the picture, the little black and white BT. Faith is a teeny tiny girl!!!!! No more than 8 lbs, and the more feisty of the two- and Faith is also looking for a home and is being fostered in Providence.. I cannot even tell you how drop dead, make-your-knees-weak gorgeous theses girls are! And so friendly- it took Holly about a minute to fall in love with my husband, and his lap is her favorite place to be.
There's lots for me to learn about this gil, and I'll be posting updates!
